AAAR Leadership Opportunities

Volunteers are vital to the success of the Albemarle Area Association of REALTORS.  It is essential for the Association to have willing and able volunteers to help accomplish the many tasks we must perform to provide quality member service in addition to providing serve to our community.

It is that time of year again when we need to ask YOU, our members, to volunteer to serve on the Board of Directors as an officer (President-Elect or Secretary/Treasurer) or director (two positions available) AND to consider serving as a volunteer on one of our many committees.  Please respond to this survey by August 1st to indicate where you would be willing to serve.  Volunteers are the backbone of this Association.  Thank you in advance for your willingness to serve.

AAAR President-Elect Candidate Questionnaire
The AAAR Certifying/Recruiting Committee will meet on Tues, Aug 23rd, to complete the slate of candidates for the election of 2024 Officers and Directors. Please complete the following questionnaire by Fri, Aug 18th to indicate your willingness to proceed with your candidacy for AAAR President-Elect in 2024. The President-Elect position is a 3-year commitment- the first year as President-Elect, the second year as President, and a third year as Past-President on the Board of Directors.

During your years as President-Elect and President, there is a considerable amount of travel required at the expense of AAAR.  This travel is in addition to the required monthly Board of Directors meetings and quarterly general membership meetings that you will attend (and lead during your year as President). You will also attend committee meetings to help guide the direction of the association in terms of education, DEI activities, community service, etc.  Following is a description of the required travel (at the Association's expense):
