Accredited Buyer's Representative (ABR) Course

This two-day in-person course is the first step in earning the ABR® designation, setting yourself apart from other REALTOR® buyer representatives. The best part is, the course is being offered at NO CHARGE! It typically costs $295 but in working with NAR and NCR, we are offering if for free. The course focuses on the key information and skills agents need today when working with buyers, including how to: walk buyers through written buyer representation agreements; advocate for their clients’ best interests throughout the transaction; articulate their value to the buyer client; work with data to complete insightful market analyses; explain the range of financing options available to clients; stay on top of emerging trends and build relationships that carry beyond the closing. It’s critical that buyers have access to professional representation during what, for many, is the biggest investment of their lives. Members of the Outer Banks Association and the Albemarle Association of REALTOR® can take advantage of this no-cost offer to enhance their ability to articulate and demonstrate their value to buyer clients. NAR is also offering the course online for free every two weeks. To obtain the designation, once you complete this course, you must complete a qualifying elective course online, in-person, or in a virtual format; and must have completed five transactions as a buyer's rep in your career.
